NPA President Joins Workforce Investment Board, August 2009

NPA President Nancy Pfeffer was appointed by Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster to the Board of the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network.  In this position she represents transportation interests.  The Pacific Gateway WIN provides a number of essential job placement and training services for youth and adult workers in Long Beach, Signal Hill, Lomita, and Torrance.  In 2009 the Network received over $6 million in federal stimulus funds for new workforce development programs.
