NPA President Speaks to ITS-CA Group – May 2010

NPA President Nancy Pfeffer, speaking in her consulting role as the Director of Regional Planning for the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, was part of a panel of presenters to a lunchtime gathering of members of the Intelligent Transportation Society of California (ITS-CA).  The topic was technology and regulation related to climate change, including the development of strategies to reduce greenhouse gases under SB 375, a California law passed in 2008.  Under the law, the Gateway Cities will develop a Sustainable Communities Strategy designed to help the Southern California region meet a state-set target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.  More information on SB 375 and the Gateway Cities can be found here.
