Team Concludes Work on Factors Contributing to Freight Demand – February 2011

NPA was part of a team led by Halcrow that conducted National Cooperative Freight Research Program (NCFRP) Project No. 11, Identification and Evaluation of Factors in Freight Demand.  The objective of this research was to describe and analyze important demographic, economic, environmental, and other factors that contribute to the future amount, distribution, and value of freight to be moved in and through North America.  After facilitating a peer exchange on the project in 2010 at the Beckman Center in Irvine, NPA provided a comprehensive technical review of the draft final report before submittal to the Transportation Research Board.
